Seeking FCC Approval, Sinclair Tweaks Tribune TV Deal

Reuters reports that Sinclair is amending its Tribune TV deal, in a bid to win FCC approval.Sinclair owns 192 stations and was planning to acquire 42 Tribune stations in 33 markets.The Broadcast Group said it would sell 23 TV stations to obtain regulatory approval. The company needs FCC permission to own more than one station in some markets.Sinclair announced it would drop plans to divest stations in Dallas and Houston.
