Russia Offers Rebels Safe Passage Out Of Ghouta

The Russian military has offered Syrian rebels safe passage out of eastern Ghouta.It has proposed to let the opposition surrender the city to President Bashar al-Assad.The Russian defense ministry says rebels can leave with their families and personal weapons through a secure corridor.The Russian proposal did not specify where the rebels would go.It guarantees that vehicles would “be provided, and the entire route will be guarded."Hundreds of civilians have been killed in one of the deadliest attacks of the seven-year-old civil war.The United Nations believes 400,000 people are trapped inside the enclave.
