Stacey Abrams was nominated to be Georgia’s Democratic nominee. And now she has become the first black American woman to win her party’s nomination. Abrams beat Stacey Evans, a successful attorney and legislator, for the nomination. Next she will face the winner of the Republican nomination, either Casey Cagle or Brian Kemp. Abrams said: "We are writing the future of the next chapter of Georgia where no one is unseen, no one is unheard, and no one is uninspired.”
