Georgia Teacher Sentenced To Prison For Firing Gun In Class

According to Reuters, a Georgia high school teacher has been sentenced to two years in prison.Jesse Randal Davidson pleaded guilty to charges related to an incident in February at Dalton High School.The 53-year-old fired a handgun inside a classroom after barricading himself.Davidson was arrested after a tense standoff with police, but no one was seriously harmed.According to district attorney in in Whitfield County, Davidson will also serve eight years of probation after his release.
