Actress Lena Dunham, the creator of HBO series Girls, has apologized to fans after she backed one of her show's male writers, who has been accused of sexual assault, and cast doubt on the claims against him. On Friday, Aurora Perrineau accused Murray Miller of raping her when she was just 17 years old. Dunham and her business partner, Jenni Konner, defended Miller in a statement to the Hollywood Reporter. Dunham said Perrineau's statement was false.
