Researchers have reportedly found signs of Alzheimer’s disease in dolphins, marking the first time that the health disorder has been detected in a wild animal. A new study has confirmed that the findings are the first to find two key markers of the disease—protein plaques and tangles—in a wild animal. Back in August this year, researchers at Kent State University also detected traces of the disease in the brains of chimpanzees who died from natural causes at zoos and research centers.
