U.S. Supreme Court Sides With Christian Baker Who Refused Gay Couple

Jun 04, 2018

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday handed a victory to a Colorado baker who refused to bake a wedding cake for a gay couple based on his Christian beliefs. The Colorado Civil Rights Commission had found that baker Jack Phillips violated the state’s anti-discrimination law by rebuffing couple David Mullins and Charlie Craig in 2012. Colorado state law bars businesses from refusing service based on race, sex, marital status or sexual orientation.
