Facebook Gave Companies Access To User Data

According to the New York Times, Facebook provided access to user data with 60 companies over the last 10 years, at times without a user's consent.Most of those companies are retailers or device manufacturers, like Amazon, Apple, and Samsung.Those 'partners' were granted access to a private API that 50 categories of user information, like their relationship status, religion, political opinion, and events.
