Panic gripped in a village near Mysore, India, when a cell tower, erected on the roof of a house, caught fire on February 28. Video, which has only just emerged, shows the tower on fire and a huge plume of smoke rising into the sky.By the time fire tenders rushed to the spot to put down the fire, the tower had been completely burnt. No one was injured in the incident as the residents of the house rushed out to safety. Eyewitnesses said they saw smoke coming out of the tower and fire spread quickly engulfing it. Shocked people of the neighbourhood said there should be a ban on installing cell towers on roofs.Police have registered a case and are probing the cause of fire.
